One of the days when our starving bellies enticed us to give Mister Donut a visit which is just a five-minute walking distance from our house. It's been awhile..

I always love their Old Fashion Donuts and Hot Cafe Au Laite which is refillable...



I wished I ordered up a little medley of goods instead to take photos lol. DOnuts are more Japanese-ingy, less sweet, simpler and yet fabulous....





Mister Donut was one of my life saver in Japan lol! I used to collect points to get free gifts. That was the time when I wasn't a health conscious yet. I didn't care whether they are full of carbs, sugar, and oils. I eat 3-4 donuts in one sitting (what a pig!). However, having to go there and buy a box of Mister Donuts almost thrice a week made me sick of donuts for months.

BUT STILL, it's better than the other donut chains... Affordable and offers freebies whichc vary everymonth (or every season)

So if you get to visit here in Japan, you might want to take a break and have a coffee and delicious doughnut here at Mister DOnut..

I'm often strucked by Meals for Kids offered by various restaurants here in Japan. Family Restaurants and Kids-friendly restaurants usually have "okosama-ranchi (お子様ランチ)" , a japanese version for Kids' Menu.They are basically the same food, but with smaller portions.







Small portions of various dishes that kids would like. The plate is designed for them to enjoy. They look so cute and yummy that I've always wanted to have one. The rice is usually placed in a mountain shape and has a flag on top. Menus seem to be more healthy than for example a Happy Meal (mcdo).. So sad I'm too old to order one

She's done in less than 5 minutes...

Thank God it's friday.

Yesterday's weather was great. We took our usual walking routine, suddenly rode a bus. It was Anzu's first time to ride a bus and she never gave me a hard time. She's behave and looking around the other passenger, even smiling at them. The bus driver was so nice, he carried Anzu's stroller inside and even put a belt in it for security.


SO there, we stopped at a station and had my late lunch... SO yummy and cheap. I spent ￥１０００　($10) for a cake, pasta, and drink.

After a yummy meal, time for a leisure walk. We window shopped and saw a big sale for halloween costumes. SO glad there was still available size.

After my baby's big day last week, I've become so lazy (to blog) and been pre-occupied with other things. I never thought that it is really tiring to prepare a party in a house. Ive never done that by myself before. It's really different when you're living abroad, there's no one to depend on, unlike in our home in Philippines, we may have helpers around.

Here's my lil dolly princess' birthday cake. Don't be deceived, I didn't baked this lol. Wish I could someday (like what Ate Clang does)



Looks Yummy! Well it was... and again--- I forgot my diet. How couldn't I? My FIL prepared almost all these foods (except the caldereta lol). The pasta and those chicken strips are the best! It was like we ate in a five star restaurant.

Actually, my F I L is a retired Chef in one of the famous five star hotel in Japan, The Hotel Otani. Hubby and I actually planned to cook, but when my In-laws came, they took over.

It was a simple and yet so Happy, intimate and an adorable first birthday celebration of our lil girl, only with our loveones. Wish I could have invited more but that would be definitely next time, with a bigger venue. Looking forward to celebrate her next Big day with you, my friends and loveones in the Philippines.

What could be more rewarding is preparing a healthy home made food for my baby. Not only it can save you a bundle but it's easier than it sounds.

You don't need to be a great cook.. just grab any healthy ingredients like veggies from a grocery (or from your ref), either boil or steam them, and plug in your blender or grinder, that's it!

This is how I usually prepare my baby food for my 10 months old little girl since she was 6 months.

*steaming the ingredients such as veggies (you may also boil them, but not too long)
* puree
*mixed with Rice Porridge
* sometimes I add Furikake for addtional flavor.

SO HERE'S a healthy dinner....

By the way, Im using Magic bullet for months now and it has been a great help to make a fine purees.

Making a healthy baby food is simple and satisfying for you and your baby because you know what your baby is eating, none of the preservatives or dreaded fillers which are commonly found in commercial baby foods. (although I admit serving one sometimes when we're out )
